Now, from Agripulse, Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup weedkiller and the most widely used herbicide in the world, "is unlikely to pose a carcinogenic risk to humans," a new study by a panel of scientists has found. Glyphosate manufacturer Monsanto commissioned the study from Intertek Scientific & Regulatory Consultancy in Canada, which assembled the 15-member panel. Monsanto undertook the effort to respond to a 2015 report from the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) that found glyphosate probably causes cancer in humans.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says America needs to step up in the world trade market, but a lame duck vote on the Trans-Pacific Partnership might not accomplish that goal. The Kentucky Republican said America needs to work its way back into the trading business, however he doesn't see TPP being the right way to do that right now. Bringing up the agreement before the end of the year could be damaging to America's trade ambitions.
