Idaho Rancher's Wife Shares Way of Life

Idaho Rancher's Wife Shares Way of Life

This week, we are introducing Allison Eliason, a southeast Idaho rancher who has been blogging for about a year and half. She and her family raise Black Angus cattle in their cow-calf operation. They winter their cattle in Northern Utah and then move the cows to the summer pastures nearer to home on both BLM and Forest Service grazing permits. She shares more about how she began her blog.
Eliason: “What is interesting is that it didn’t happen by accident. I had actually just gotten a new camera — nothing fancy but a nice camera. The first day after I had bought it, we went to haul cows and I will take the camera and take pictures. I ended up just loving the pictures and loving doing it. And I thought what should I do with it. I have a friend I tease about I’ve got to tell people about what I like about being a rancher’s wife. There are so many things I like. So there are all these things as far as being a rancher’s wife I’ve got to share that story so between the teasing, then these pictures and my passion for sharing our life and the love of the life we have — I just kind of started.”
