American National CattleWomen Look to the Future

The American National CattleWomen is an amazing organization that was created in 1952 as the national voice of the nation’s states’ CattleWomen’s groups and is one of the strongest advocates for the beef industry with consumers and influencers for more than 60 years.
Recently the organization is examining its role and has asked its members and state affiliates to consider where the ANCW needs to be in the future. ANCW Executive Director Kathyrn Carruth shares more the organization’s strategic planning process
Carruth: “So there has always been a lot of feed back and feed up. It’s a large organization and it has existed for a long, long time. But we’ve lost some momentum recently and we are trying to really reach down in the inside and find where our passion piece is again and where we need to be. What makes sense to grow this industry — not just within America; but what can we do to affect all of the issues around the world — be it sustainability, be it animal rights, all the stuff that people question any kind of dietary guidelines. That we can show where we really stand and what we really do on a day-to-day basis when we are raising cattle and beef.
If you aren’t a member of the ANCW and you are an advocate for the beef industry, learn more and join at www.ancw.org.
