Farm Toys For Tots Campaign Spreads Christmas Joy

Recently there was an online petition on change.org where many animal rightists and vegans signed the petition requesting Walmart to stop selling toy livestock haulers. Four agvocates from around the country decided to take this negative and turn it into something positive. As one of the four agvocates, Ryan Goodman shares

Goodman: "Diana Pritchard in Minnesota, Carrie Mess or Dairy Carrie in Wisconsin and Katie Pinke. Am very excited to work with them, they are all very passionate like me. We wanted to do something — we aren't just signing a petition or doing something that just makes some noise — we're actually putting our money where our mouth is. We're excited to have people from across the country help us in doing that by donating farm toys to people who could use some help this season."

Within two days of creating the Farm Toys for Tots Facebook page they have more than 1100 followers. All the proceeds raise will be purchasing farm-related toys for the Toys For Tots program. Goodman continues with how the ag community can help in this effort.

Goodman: "We'd like everybody to go Farm Toys For Tots Facebook page and you find all the information to go to the GoFundMe page and contribute to that. We surpassed our first goal and definitely looking froward to continuing the contributions through the month of November and go find that Farm Toys For Tots and use that hashtag. If you don't want to share money, share some toys in your area that are farm-related. Really help to share some ag literacy and share some farm toys with kids this Christmas.
