Oregon Cattlemen's Convention in Bend

Oregon Cattlemen's Convention in Bend

Attention Oregon Cattlemen and CattleWomen: have you registered yet for the fast approaching Oregon Cattlemen’s Association’s annual Convention — happening December 3th through the 5th at The RiverHouse in Bend.

Oregon Cattlemen’s Association Communications Director Kayli Hanley shares some highlights of the convention.

Hanley: “This is what is shaping up to be an awesome convention for 2015. We’re going to kick things off with our Cattlemen’s College. We have industry speakers coming in from everywhere  — talking about maintaining nutrition in a hostile environment. We even have a gentleman coming from Parker Ranch in Hawaii. He will be speaking about how to deal with drought — as Hawaii ranchers have been dealing with that for some time. On the speaker side of things, we have over 15 fabulous speakers coming in. One of those is Christina Butts, she is the Executive Director of Government Affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. So she is coming all the way from Washington, D.C. to tell us what is going on, on the hill.”

You have until tomorrow to register before prices go up. Hanley continues

Hanley: “If you would like to register, go hop on line and go to orcattle.com and you can either click on events or just click right on the convention tab and you will be able to register online. The early rate stop November 25th and the late fees kick in after that. So you are going to want to get your registration in before November 25th.”
