Two State Cattle Organizations Mid-Year Meeting

Two State Cattle Organizations Mid-Year Meeting

There is much to be gained with multiple states come together for a convention or conference. June will be the Idaho Cattle Association, Washington Cattlemen’s Association and the WA Feeders Association Mid-Year meeting. ICA Communication Director Brittany Hurst shares more details.
Hurst: “It is in Post Falls, Idaho, this year June 22nd through the 23rd. It will be particularly focused on environmental issues that face that cattle industry and what that looks like for the future of the cattle industry.”
In addition to government and agency representatives speaking during committee meetings there are several network or entertaining events included as well — the annual JR Simplot Memorial Golf Tournament as well as evening boat cruise on Lake CDA.
Hurst encourages members of all three associations to consider attending.
Hurst: “It is really a good opportunity to come together with people who are part of your industry — that deal with the same issues every day. Have something to talk about and take away that maybe you can apply to your own operation or things to watch out for on your operation. It is a good opportunity to network through all three cattle groups.
