9-17 SS Hunter's Heart Transplant

9-17 SS Hunter's Heart Transplant

Hi everyone and welcome to Sportsmens’ Spotlight. I’m David Sparks with amongst the most heartwarming stories you’re ever going to hear. You’ll realize the irony in that statement in a minute. I received a picture of an all-American 13 year old kid wearing camos and standing in back of a beautiful 4 X 5 buck with a bow and some arrows in the foreground. The boy’s name is Hunter and yes he’s a hunter. The real deal. But before we get to the hunt, listen to his Dad John Paustian who’s with Fish and Game out of La Grande, Oregon.

The Paustian family ended up moving to California and the transplant was performed at UCLA. How’s Hunter doing? “I think he could run a marathon and be competitive.”
