11-12 SS Mountain Goat

11-12 SS Mountain Goat

Hi everybody. I’m David Sparks bringing you Sportsmens’ Spotlight and we’re about to hear a story about the hunted becoming the hunter. Next. Weird story in the paper recently telling us that rangers in Washington State suspect an encounter with a mountain goat killed a 63-year-old hiker in Olympic National Park. Officials did not provide any specifics on his injuries but said an early investigation indicates they were the result of an encounter with a goat. This event is so weird that the paper reporting the incident was the Belfast Telegraph from Ireland. I talked to Stan Boyd from the Idaho Woolgrowers Association and Dr. Marie Bulgin, retired University of Idaho veterinarian who specializes in sheep.
