4-13 SS Taxidermist

Making beautiful memories out of your trophies.I was recently at a hunting and fishing show and came across an exhibition that made my jaw drop. It was a taxidermists display and I don’t think that I’ve ever seen trophies mounted with such skill and beauty. I had to talk to the owner. Mitch Sanchotena began preserving memories for outdoor men and women in 1965. Since then he has created numerous awarding winning trophy mounts throughout the Northwest. Mitch owns and operates Imperial Taxidermy, and as a Nationally Certified and Award winning artist with over 40 years of experience, he has mentored many an aspiring young taxidermist.“I have four taxidermists and we have a 3800 square-foot taxidermy studio on the north side of the freeway in Caldwell. I started taxidermy in 1965 professionally, we probably mount, including birds, over 500 specimens a year, the business is thriving which we are generally thankful for given these economic times. We are a full line taxidermy service and do everything from birds to small life-size mammals and reptiles all the way up to the largest earthen mammal right now we have three elephants that just cleared customs and are going to the tannery.
