5-20 SS Wolf Hunt

5-20 SS Wolf Hunt

They did back in 2009. They did not do it in 2010. Signs are very good that they will do it in 2011. The question is: Do what? I’m David Sparks. This is Sportsman’s Spotlight. Knowing that this is a show designed with the outdoorsman in mind,  odds are that the “do what” question will have something to do with what outdoorsmen do and that is hunting or fishing. When we return we will have an answer.

Oh we’re going to hold a hunt and the commission, they give us direction they will tell us where they want the hunt focused.  There are some areas where wolves have caused extensive damage to big game herds, they have gotten into trouble with livestock, so we will wait for their direction as to where they want the hunt focused. Last time the hunt was held throughout the state and there was a harvest limit set then and the commission will determine what that harvest limit will be For the 2011 hunt. As of noon today we have sold about 100 tags and right now they cost $11.50 for resident hunters and $186 for non-residents. You can buy those tags at any fish and game vendor, we have over 300 throughout the state.
