7-14 SS Stone Fly Inn

Want to go fly fishing in Montana? Who doesn’t?  I am DS and have a recommendation.

There is fly fishing in Montana and then there’s fly fishing in Montana. Given a choice, where do you go. Correspondent Josh Mills has the answer. “If you are looking for a place that exemplifies all that is amazing with fly fishing and you’ve got Montana in your head and there’s big mountains and beautiful trout laden rivers and home spun from the guides, if you’re looking for a place like that let me point you in the direction of the Stone Fly Inn in Twin Bridges, Montana. Twin Bridges, Montana is the holy land for a trout fisherman. You’ve got the Jefferson, the Beaver Head, the Ruby, the Big Hole, and somewhat close access to the Missouri on the  tailwater side. It is absolutely an amazing place to fish.  Dan Roosterleavens  is the owner and proprietor. His operation is phenomenal. I got to know a few of the guides,  went out to fish with a few of the guides and they really know the water, they got some amazing access to private water, spring creeks, you want to go and get yourself a 2 foot Brown or a legitimate shot at it, I would do yourself a favor and give the boys at the Stone Fly a call. You can find them at the Stone Fly Inn.com and you can find a time of information about what’s going on, even if you don’t book trip, but there is nothing like local knowledge from local guides and the fishing is lights out
