9-2 SS Wild Women

 This TV program is called Women of the Wild Outdoors presented by Scheels.  It's a Feminine Invasion of the Great Outdoors and can be found on the Pursuit Channel - DISH Network Channel 240 & DIRECTV Channel 608.  I caught up with the husband-wife producer team Ed & Lisa Retterath: “ I am intrigued by the title. We were down remodeling a place in southern Minnesota and a woman told me her deer hunting story and even though it took 10 min., it was so good, and so much enthusiasm, I looked at her and said it was good enough to be on TV. She told it like I was there so I could visualize the whole thing and I thought that is awesome. I looked at her and I said I don’t think there is an outdoor TV show for women and I don’t know why because women are the only group that is growing in the outdoor industry. That is a voice that needs to be heard because we are losing steam in the hunting industry. He came home and said honey it’s going to be a rough ride but I finally came up with an idea and I am going to follow through with something that I really think is a great idea. He said there is something we can finally do and even get more kids involved. The key is women. So that’s how we came up with the title And of course I know how guys think so I needed to stick the word wild in there because it would then intrigue the men as well but it is totally legitimate and we wanted to highlight every day average women as a catalyst for the outdoors.
