Not too long ago, I was talking with a fellow by the name of Peter Flohr from a  great outdoorsman’s store over in Wenatchee, Washington and Peter, who is a fishing expert, mentioned another guy in the store who shot a world record California Big Horn. His name is Aaron Roth and I called him up at Hooked on Toys to get the lowdown. “ You have to put in you have to draw for your special hunt application, once we got drawn me and my wife and a good buddy scouted one day and then it caught fire and we went Oh man, the whole Swakane unit, that is the unit that we drew the tag in, the forest service kept us out for a whole month and a half, no access to it, so we just kept training up, kept hiking your 50 pound pack, keep the exercise up for less than a month before the season opened up for us to go in there, then they allowed us in, we put 22 days in the field, scouting them before work, after work, days off and after the 22 days, I saw him twice.  I thought about using my bowl or muzzleloader, but after all that work, I decided that I would harvest him with a rifle.” We will find out what happened in the next edition.
