9-19 SS 33 Pd Salmon

 I had a recent conversation with Peter Flohr from Hooked on Toys  in Wenatchee, Washington. “Did I hear you say that you caught a 33 pound king and if so tell me about the circumstances. A 33 pound 8 oz. King yesterday, down at White Bluffswhich is in the Columbia which is just below the Vernita bridge. I went down there with a friend of mine, put out around 5 PM, fished around until 8:30 PM, so we are dragging around and fish started running, hooked when it started to run downstream with a real buzz, it was really nice, started pulling her back upstream, it took about 15 min. and we had it in the net, it came over the rail and hit the deck, put it on the scale, 33 lbs. 8 oz., it was a very satisfying finish, great fishery, big fish, these are fall fish. What were you using? Ten Fathom 20, awesome drag, solid reel, caught a lot of fish this year, Fenwick Canadian methods rod, 10 foot 6 medium weight rod and running a 10 digitroll downrigger which tracks the bottom and an 11 inch chrome flasher and a lemon lime super bait filled with tuna.
