10-25 SS Bryan & Sheep 1

An absolutely jaw-dropping story of a Big Horn sheep hunt way up in the most northern reach of the rugged Rocky Mountains in British Columbia, Canada.

I received an e-mail from my boss and the message said you might want to check this out. There were 15 attachments and on the subject line it said sheep hunt. I scroll down and see mountains that looked like the Himalayas, men, tents covered with snow, grizzly bears, and an unbelievable bighorn. 1st thing on my mind, gotta call this guy. Who in the world went to that part of the world and had such an experience. Well, his name is Bryan Bartsch, he went searching for Rams and the base camp was at approximately 6000-6500 feet in altitude. The hunting party flew into a lake on the 13th of August and the pilot… “So he kicked us out and he said I will see you in 10 days. We proceeded to go on our journey and we actually wanted to go from one lake to another lake and be picked up at the 2nd lake 30 miles away and just traverse through 3 or 4 mountain ranges and hunt our way through and be picked up at a different lake. Well the different lake didn’t happen but a bull moose, bull elk, several grizzly bears, many caribou, goats, and of course... sheep did  happen
