I have a question for those of you out there who love to bird hunt. If you could choose any place in the world to go wing shooting... where would it be? Well it just so happens that regular contributor to the show and international hunter, Bob Angel has a recommendation and valid points to back it up. Bob Angell has hunted all over the world. Bob will tell you flat-out that when it comes to wing shooting one of his favorite places in the world is Venezuela. Now why would that be? Rather than me answer let's let Bob take it away. "Well I think Argentina as well as other countries in South America, Paraguay and Uruguay, and Bolivia now unquestionably have the finest wing shooting in the world and I have been fortunate to hunt in Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, the United States and Canada. I have chased every kind of bird that you can think of and Argentina I think is my favorite because it has the widest variety of birds, it has excellent hunting for doves and pigeons, and for partridges that are similar to the Hungarian Partridge that we have here in the Northwest. They have ducks, they have geese, they have very liberal limits and actually in some areas ducks and pigeons are a pest because they have no pressure on them, their numbers are growing each year and they cause a lot of damage to crops down there and depredation hunts are always welcome.
