Want to know exactly where you're going when you're out hunting or fishing? I talked with Terry Buchanan from Sportsman's Warehouse about GPS mapping. It's astonishing how much information you can get and how easy the people there make it for you. "What is interesting about it is the fact that it is a chip so it is the perfect chip for you to use. 98% of all GPS's that we sell, it offers what we call chip compatibility. That means it will take a chip. In that chip there is information about private land, federal land, BLM land, it has all the game units in the state of Idaho, it has city, highway, back country roads, trails all color coded at 1 to 24,000 scale plus a ton of landowners names. Whenever we explain that to people they say whoa that's got a ton of stuff. The feedback we get from people who use it, they say it is phenomenal. If you have a one state chip, that means that you get the landowners names. We also sell from GPS maps, a three state chip. Idaho, Oregon and Washington, or Idaho, Montana, Wyoming. You get everything in those that I just explained except the land owners names. It's all for the same price. If you buy the chip from us, before you leave the store we will install it in your unit. How much are we talking about here? Depending on the unit, if you go with an Oregon with a newer Oregon touch screen, you're looking at $499 plus tax.
