Waterfowl Season it On Its Way

Waterfowl season is on its way so I checked in with Austin Sandman, owner of Honkstomper guide service to see how it went. We went out and chased geese north of Moses Lake and we battled a lot of rain that first morning, probably got an inch or rain. The rain made things tough, the birds didn't want to work in really well because they were sitting on the reserve later than normal. We stuck it out until the afternoon and ended up shooting 4 or 5 limits. The next day we shot 5 limits north of the lake. We were done by 8:30 in the morning so it was a complete night and day difference when we had no rain and had pretty crazy rain showers on Saturday. That's how the first weekend went, I took a group of guys out on Wednesday on Winchester waste way and we killed 14 ducks by 8:30 in the morning. It was a great duck day. Three days after that we started up with geese and shot 10 birds and ended up with 3 banded birds.
