I'm sure there are a few lakes and ponds where they are spawning right now so bobber and jigs will be the easy ticket for everybody to get them. Just tip those jigs with a little crappie nibble, you can use a slip bobber or a fixed bobber and get right down to them. You will only need to be fishing 2 to 3 feet down. "What is your recipe for cooking crappie? Two ways. I either deep fry them. I bred them with a cornmeal mix that we sell here at the store, Cajun injector seasoning mix. Roll them in cold water, dip them in that cornmeal mix, drop them in a deep fryer for two new four minutes, pull them out, set them on a paper towel to drain for a minute and let them cool off for a minute or two before you pop them in your mouth. Other than that, we will pan fry them. Quarter of an inch to a half an inch of oil in the pan, serve them with some hot fries and you are good to go.
