Ducks Unlimited will hold its 2017 national convention May 31-June 4 in San Antonio, at the Marriott Rivercenter, 101 Bowie Street.

This year's gathering is a celebration of Ducks Unlimited's 80 years of conservation and will include entertainment, conservation education tours and more.

"They say everything is bigger in Texas and we mean to prove them right during the biggest Ducks Unlimited conservation celebration ever," said Dana Barton, DU's director of national events.

Convention tours and events throughout the week include the Alamo and missions tour, a gardens tour, the River Walk food tour, a wine tour, tubing on the Guadalupe River, a special ladies-only cocktail event, two-step dancing instruction, dinner and a rodeo at Tejas Rodeo, special shopping opportunities and other unique adventures. Wednesday night's Welcome Party will include entertainment from the Texas Jamm Band featuring members of George Strait's Ace in the Hole Band.

The Saturday business session will feature guest speakers, conservation and awards presentations and more, while Saturday night's 80th Annual DU National Convention Reception, Gala and Dancing event will include dinner, live auctions and dancing to live music.

Special thanks to our proud partner First National Bank of Omaha, provider of the official Ducks Unlimited Visa® card, Conoco Phillips and Purina Pro Plan for sponsoring this year's convention.

"Ducks Unlimited's National Convention is always like a family reunion," said Ducks Unlimited CEO Dale Hall. "Our annual event gives our volunteers, partners and supporters the chance to get together and celebrate what DU has accomplished, take care of business and look toward the future. San Antonio is the perfect place for us to gather and work toward DU's vision of wetlands sufficient to fill the skies with waterfowl today, tomorrow and forever."
