This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for Friday, September 22nd. The Livestock market has been on a roll over the week, producers not overly concerned with todays slight downward shift as markets came to a close. Here's Virginia McGathey from the floor of the CME in Chicago to explain the market trends over the week.

Chicago March Wheat prices closed yesterday up 2 ¼ at 471 ¾. March Chicago Corn was up ½ to finish the day at 362 ¾.

Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for November was unchanged, ranging from 5-20 to 5-42. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for Nov. were up 6 ½ ranging from 5-69 ½ to 5-84 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Nov. were up 2 ¾, ranging from 7-34 ¼ to 7-49 ¼.

Live Cattle for Dec. were dn 5 cents at 116.25. Oct. Feeder cattle were dn $1.40 to 156.20. Oct. Class III milk was up .05 cents at 15.96.
