Amy Spoon who heads up a Facebook group called Outdoor Chic Clique gets lots of women together from time to time and they all go fishing together. Oftentimes it's a charter and in this case it is sturgeon fishing. "I look forward to this because it's like fishing, we are on the Columbia, it's August but it feels like you are either in Hawaii or in Mexico because it is so hot outside. You can't wait to catch a fish so you can jump in the water with it because you're just so hot. It's like fishing in the tropics, it's amazing and the best part is you don't have to wait very long before the next fish gets caught. It may take you a long long time to land one of those sturgeons because we are talking about oversize sturgeon." Amy said these aren't just normal fish. Some have been alive... "For hundred and 150 years." Some of them weighing in at 750 pounds. She sent me a picture of one of the fish... "That fish was 10 feet long but it was 50 inches around. Greg Gustafson with Sturgeon River Monsters is one of the very few people that fish this area and he knows exactly what to do."
