I called Dave, a sales associate at the gun counter at Sportsmen's Warehouse and inquired if they had any post – Christmas sales or specials on guns. I found out if you snooze you lose. "We had some but the sales are pretty much over by now. I know there are some online sales. Everybody has pretty much gotten rid of all of their rebates and things like that. What's the best pistol for a man and for a woman? 9 mm suits both very well and is great for personal protection. Depends on where you're hunting. 9 mm works for the lower 48. If you go to Alaska you may want to go to a 44 mag.

They can be pricey. For example 44 mag is almost a thousand bucks. 357 from the $300's to a thousand. 9mm r0m $200-$1000
