When I was doing my ESPN TV show that focused on outfitters, one element that was always stressed was for incoming hunters to be in shape. When you're going on the hunt of a lifetime, or any hunt for that matter, the last thing you need to do is be huffing and puffing as you make your way through the woods. Worse yet, not even being able to go anywhere. That's where Kenton Clairmont comes in with his program called "traintohunt.com" . "It was born about seven years ago because there is a specific modality that hunters have to train in in order to be efficient in the mountains and in the outdoors. the whole idea behind traintohunt.com is that I am able to give outdoors men and women who like to spend time in the field, whether it is hunting or hiking, a workout that is sports specific and will get them ready for their hunting adventures. That was the whole idea behind it and it started with just the training program where people could get on traintohunt.com and check out the workouts. A lot of these workouts were workouts that out in your yard with a bow in your hand. The reason for the bow is it was a lot more practical. I gave people workouts they could do and in the process they could shoot their bow. I incorporated the shooting for the sole purpose of getting people out there to train. A lot of people don't like going to the gym, they don't understand what they should be doing to get ready for hunting and that's where I came in to fill in that gap."
