Where to find Roosevelts

I have known Mike Jenkins for years and he is a super capable hunting guide for big game animals. But for whatever reason, he has a passion for Roosevelt elk which have a very limited terrain. The only place you can get such a trophy is West of the I-5 freeway which runs up and down the West Coast. We talked. "I am focusing Roosevelt elk west of Interstate 5. That is my specialty. Oregon has some of the best quality Roosevelts this side of Vancouver Island. Along the Oregon coast they grow some exceptional elk. It's thick, it's rain forest country where not many people like to because of the challenges but I like to overcome challenges. Archery season in Oregon starts the last week of August and in Washington state it starts September 10th. The archery season in Oregon is 30 days with two rifle seasons later on in November. Washington has a little more liberal rifle season. It's 12 days in November. They also have a seven day muzzle loader over the counter hunt in October. Between the two states, I have a pretty solid hunting season.
