**Through the farm bill, USDA is able to offer dairy producers a revised version of the Margin Protection Program, called Dairy Margin Coverage.

Combine that with the dairy Revenue Protection Program developed by the American Farm Bureau and you have what Pro Farmer's Jim Wiesemeyer says is the best safety net dairy producers have had in 40 years.

Similarly, Randy Russell of the Russell group tells milkbusiness.com the Dairy Margin Coverage program is one of the real strengths of the farm bill.

**Farmer support for President Trump is holding steady to slightly higher than it was a month ago.

That's according to the latest Farm Journal Pulse in which 78% of the 1,043 farmers and ranchers who weighed-in on the end-of-January poll say they strongly approve or somewhat approve of the way President Trump is conducting his job.

Agweb.com reports, only 20% say they disapprove of Trump's handling of his job. Two percent were not sure.
