A new study out by the United Kingdom Food Standards Agency shows that only 2% of those who responded even look for package information regarding genetically modified content in products. Last year the International Food Industry Council showed less than one percent cared about the labeling. How about you?

Economic uncertainty had some non-operating farmland owners rushing to sell, which was evident in the last three months of the year, according to Farmers National Company, the largest farm and ranch real estate company in the country. Overall for 2012, Farmers National Company reports that sales activity was up 40 percent over 2011.

The U.S. Department of Education has appointed Sherene Donaldson of Alexandria, Va. to help develop, implement and manage policy for the NATIONAL FFA ORGANIZATION. As the National FFA executive secretary, Donaldson will be primarily be responsible for issuing charters to state FFA associations as directed by the organization's national board of directors, keep official membership records, track progress of the organization and oversee state FFA association reporting to the board.
