The Asmark Institute is offering the Professional Applicator Training course geared exclusively towards the needs of agchem personnel. The training is designed to be performed every three years. Classes are limited to 30 participants so register early.

The Risk Management Agency is reminding Pacific Northwest livestock producers of the livestock risk management programs available in all counties in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. The LRP program for Fed Cattle, Feeder Cattle, Lamb and Swine and the Livestock Gross Margin program for Swine begins sales for the 2014 crop year July1, 2013 and continue through June 30, 2014; or until the maximum underwriting capacity is reached.

The National Bison Association has announced the 2013 Throlson American Bison Foundation Scholarship amid continued growth in consumer demand for healthy, natural bison meat. The scholarship program will offer a total of $4,000 in scholarships for outstanding students who are currently enrolled in a recognized livestock, animal science, veterinary, agriculture, or human nutrition program in the United States or Canada.
