I received an announcement from the Animal Agriculture Alliance saying that Cooper Farms and Cattle Empire have agreed to Match Donations to Animal Agriculture Alliance on what the alliance calls “ Giving Tuesday”. I called communications manager Casey Whitaker.

Donations to the Animal Agriculture Alliance will be doubled on Giving Tuesday, November 28th, thanks to Cooper Farms and Cattle Empire. These two companies have pledged to match donations so every contribution will go twice as far to protect the future of animal agriculture. Visit www.animalagalliance.org/donatenow to make your contribution.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the power of social media and community collaboration. Mark your calendar today for November 28th, so after celebrating Thanksgiving with your family, you can continue celebrating the giving season with the Alliance.

Cooper Farms has pledged to match donations to the Alliance up to $5,000. “As producers of turkey, pork and eggs, we directly see the positive impact of the Alliance working to bridge the communication gap between farm and fork,” said Terry Wehrkamp, director of live production at Cooper Farms and chairperson of the Alliance board of directors. “Cooper Farms is proud to help the Alliance connect, engage and protect the future of agriculture by matching donations for the second year in a row.”

Cattle Empire will be participating in the Alliance’s Giving Tuesday campaign for the first time this year by matching donations from $5,001 to $10,000. Trista Brown Priest, chief strategy officer at Cattle Empire, LLC, said “The Alliance does a great deal of important work on behalf of the animal ag community, much of which is done behind the scenes. I appreciate the opportunities they have provided our team to connect with others in our industry and stay informed on the ever-changing issues facing U.S. farmers and ranchers. I would encourage all individuals with a vested interest in protecting the future of agriculture to personally give to the Alliance this year.”
