Word-response test. If I say DNA what comes to your mind first?

You might've said a CSI crime scene investigation but let's look on the brighter side. Not all that long ago I talked with a person who markets a brand of beef which I won't mention but her adamant statement was that the reason her beef was so tender was because of the marbling. Hold the press and listen to a few words from a video clip concerning a new brand of beef called Tenet. “THE FIRST NATURALLY SELECTED, DNA AUTHENTICATED, BEEF TENDERNESS RATING. No genetic modifications (GMO). All Tenet cattle are humanely raised and managed according to established best management practices (BMP’s) of the animal science industry. All animals are fully vaccinated and cared for under guidance of veterinary professionals. Forage-based feeding/pasture raised. No antibiotics, no injected hormones.”

And the driving force behind this beef with such a strong claim? Frank Hendrix, founder and president of Tenet, also a senior Washington State University faculty member who specializes in animal agriculture, applied genetics, animal sciences, irrigated forage production, managed intensive grazing and other grazing systems.
