**Minnesota-based milk company Live Real Farms has announced a new product called Dairy Plus Milk that's 50% lactose-free cow's milk and 50% plant-based beverage.

The new brand is owned by Dairy Farmers of America, the nation's largest dairy cooperative.

Live Real Farms' Rachel Kyllo tells milkbusiness.com, We understand consumer tastes are always changing and many people enjoy the benefits of both dairy milk and plant-based alternatives.

DFA officials say this product is not about "pivoting away from dairy" but about giving consumers more choices.

According to agweb.com, Yum Brands, which owns KFC, says the test will mark the first national U.S. fast-food chain to serve a Beyond chicken item.

KFC says it will consider customer feedback to determine if the product will launch on a broader scale. KFC's plant-based chicken alternatives include nuggets and boneless wings.

**National Cattlemen's Beef Association President Jennifer Houston is very pleased with the newly increased market access to Japan, the top export market for U.S. beef.

Houston tells agrimarketing.com, "removing the massive 38.5 percent tariff on U.S. beef will level the playing field in Japan, and we are very thankful to President Trump and his trade team who fight on behalf of America's ranching families."

Last year, Japanese consumers purchased over $2 billion of

U.S. beef, roughly one-quarter of all U.S. beef exports.
