I'm Bob Larson. From new equipment to new software, the world of technology is creating a new mindset for ag producers on a daily basis. But, all that new information can be hard to keep up with.

One company that's out to help growers keep tabs on all this new data is Agrian, a California-based company providing the latest software for all levels of the supply chain ...

SHUMAKER ... "Well, Agrian started about 14 years ago on the compliance side of things here, strictly on the record keeping components it, making sure that the right products get put on the right crops at the right rates, with no off-label applications. And now, we've kind of helped grow that and complimented that with site-specific things. So, being able to bring in the scouting components of it and to trigger those applications along with the variable rate components and the sampling. We're now able to pull soil samples looking at the data, aggregated data, bringing all that and being able to roll that up and help make an educated decision throughout the season."

Agrian's Pacific Northwest Division Manager, Erik Shumaker says they hope to improve your speed, safety and profitability ...

SHUMAKER ... "At the end of the day, we've got to help make sure we've got a safe food source out there for our consumers and be able to share that information, both from the retailer to the grower when they get those recommendations and push that back to the processor so the traceability aspect of it, but also out there along with helping growers make more money. I mean, that's at the end of the day we have to help everybody make money and get with that data. There's so much data out there, being able to view that, roll it up and make decisions with that."

Listen tomorrow for more on what Agrian is doing for growers.
