Colorado’s Commissioner of Agriculture Kate Greenberg will deliver the keynote at the Next Generation of Agriculture Symposium this month.

The symposium is for agricultural professionals. Wendy White at the Colorado Proud Marketing Division says her group is hosting the event.

“We’re bringing together a panel of speakers to talk about various issues related to agriculture in Colorado. Everything from technology and innovation, multigenerational farms and ranches, new and beginning farmers and some of the challenges and opportunities that are ahead of them. As well as broad based issues and to educate the media, especially about Colorado agriculture so that they can share that message with the general public.”

Commissioner Greenberg will also moderate a panel discussion with Will Johnson of Flying Diamond Ranch, Roberto Meza of Emerald Garden Microgreens, Prof. Amanda Weaver from the University of Colorado and others.

“After the panel we’re going to have various table top discussions with various media and ag industry leaders to food waste and farm to school activities.”

White says the symposium is not open to the public. The goal is to assist ag professionals as they seek to serve the consumers and the general public.
