Water is a precious resource and farmers don’t want to waste water or the money it costs to pump it. Can technology help make our crops more water efficient? Nave Analytics CEO Jessi Korinek says their system can help get an accurate picture of water balance today, and will position farmers to benefit from future incentives.

Korinek… “We see the direction that everything is going, where we're driving for sustainability and efficient crop production. And so with the system that we're building down the road, we have some ideas around a system that is able to actually score how we efficient fields are watered. And then building out a marketplace or a system that rewards farmers for efficiently grown crops. Maybe they can get a premium on a crop that was grown with a certain level of efficiency as there's more and more scrutiny on the resources that ag is using. We're trying to build that system and build it first so that it can be built with a farmer focus instead of something that gets pushed down on the farmers.”

Nave Analytics offers a commercial service that can provide soil water data on any field in the world through their remote sensing technology.
