Nominate a Business for the Governor's Ag Exporting Award

Recognizing and rewarding Colorado companies for their agricultural export efforts is the goal of the third annual Governor's Award for Agricultural Exporting. Colorado Department of Agriculture's International Markets and Trade Development Team member Ashley Warsh gives further details about the two available awards for eligible Colorado companies.

Warsh: "One for companies that consistently export and have been exporting and continue those efforts. Also one award for companies that are recent exporters, or just started exporting or are exploring the opportunities of exporting. We chose to do this award during the Governor's Forum for Colorado Agriculture just to have some recognition amongst all of the Colorado ag industry and to be recognized by the Governor."

The Governor's Forum on Colorado Agriculture will be held on February 22nd in 2017.

Warsh: "We'd really just like to get a good group of applicants this year. We're really trying to make this award meaningful to those who apply. It is a quick application — just a background on the company and some information about them. We'd really just like to recognize people for what they are trying to do internationally and by helping Colorado agriculture with exports."

If you are interested in nominating your business go to coloradoagriculture.com for more information and an application. Deadline to turn in applications is January 13th.
