Zen Honeycutt, Pres. and Founder of Moms Across America claims that Glyphosate, the herbicide in Roundup, is so prevalent in our atmospheric it even can be found in our urine. Dr. Val Giddings, Senior Analyst for Information Technology and Innovation Foundation in Washington DC responds. "If you drink Roundup, you will see a round up showing up in your urine. If you are exposed to Roundup in any significant way as some harm workers may actually be, then it may show up in your urine. But, who cares. It is not toxic. If you drink wine, ethanol will show up in your urine. If you drink chocolate, bromine shows up in your urine. Those are compounds that we know are toxic yet we consume them everyday. Glyphosate we know is not toxic. The kidneys extract compounds from your blood and you excrete them in your urine. That's how your body's blood purification system works. Very few people will be exposed to Glyphosate have levels sufficient to lead positive detection in urine but if somebody is so exposed, they can be very glad it was Glyphosate and not something else because Glyphosate it is about as safe as it gets.
