This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Friday, September 15th The cattle market holds fairly steady amid adjustments. From the Floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Joe Vaclavik ...

Vaclavik ... "Live cattle market traded both sides of unchanged here on Thursday. We've rebounded a little bit here this week, but overall the market's been under quite a bit of pressure. Our nearby October futures have lost, I think, a good $100 per tender weight since mid-July so we've been in a pretty solid down-trend here. Cash market has been soft. We haven't seen a whole lot of cash trade or activity yet here this week. I think in the country we had some wide bids versus offers, you know, 103 versus 108, I believe was the last number I saw. I think we did some very light volume on the fed cattle exchange in the 104 to 105 neighborhood, so the cash markets still under some pressure."
