This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Monday, Sept 24th. Cattle prices were down but not out last week. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Virginia McGathey.

McGATHEY ... "The market was mixed maybe even a little bit firm. Even though it's been edging lower all week the market is still strong and still hanging on to the profits, the big rally, the limit move we had last Friday. Everyone's preparing for the on-feed report that's coming up and even though we're half way down, the market still looks strong. Traders are really getting set up for this report and I think that they're expecting something positive as it was last week as well and the exports have been looking good. Prices still are relatively strong and that's why we're seeing the market move. I expect to see that there's going to be a lot more movement on Monday."
