As much as we all love to hunt or fish at this time of the year, the recent cold snap throughout the Northwest has certainly reminded me of my childhood. I played hockey growing up in Montréal and it was 10 below zero most of the time. We played outdoors, I loved the game, but that cold... Oh that cold. So you're out in the woods and its around 0°F. Are you miserable because your shivering and can barely focus on anything? Wouldn't it be great to be bundled up and cozy? I turned to Sportsman's Warehouse Sales Associate Chelsea Griffith for help in that department. "If you wanted a really slim one where it wasn't going to be goofy, I would go with Under Armour with that infrared in there. it will reflect your body heat back to you. It looks kind of funny, almost like there are a bunch of lines of in there but your body heat is supposed to reflect off of the infrared so the heat stays in and let's all the moisture out. Is it a thin jacket? Yes, almost like a soft shell jacket. The thicker jackets, I don't like them because they get in the way when you are out hunting. I like to be able to move easily. If it was 0° is that enough? You would have to still put base layers on. Maybe a lighter jacket or a sweater underneath.
