New Favorite Wine

New Favorite Wine

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran. As many of you know my new favorite wine is usually the wine that is in my glass at the time. Today I want to talk about one of my new favorite bubbly.

Well summer in eastern Washington wine country has been toasty and I for one love it. I am having tons of fun getting back into the swing of the wines of summer. One thing for sure I cannot live without my Champagne and sparkling wine. This past week I went shopping for some reasonably priced Champagne and came across a very standard wine served all over Paris, Nicolas Feuillatte. In fact the last time I was in Paris we drank it at least two to one with all other champagnes. The Nicolas Feuillatte Brut is a wine I serve for upscale Happy Hour with chilled shrimp tossed in a mustard dill sauce. The combination is delicious refreshing and oh so pleasant late on a warm summer afternoon and early evening. It is another of those pretty wines I find difficult to decide whether to drink it or dab it behind your ears. But I think drinking it is a good way to go, especially if you go from shrimp for an appetizer and then poached salmon for dinner. Whatever you do don’t forget the bubbly this summer it is just too perfect for summer. Remember to send your wine questions to Linda at vine to wine dot net and thanks for joining me on today’s Vine to Wine.
