Kayak Fishing

Called Sportsmen's Warehouse sales associate Keith McDowell and asked him to weigh in on something that I don't get. "I don't get whole fishing from a kayak thing. What's the draw? If a shark looks up from below, a kayak looks like a seal. First of all they are inexpensive. You have bet versus going out and buying a full sized boat. We have a 23 foot off shore and that's $100,000. So a guy can get out there, granted can't get out there as far but they can get out in salt, especially down in Florida, I watched a guy the other day on YouTube catch a 300 pound grouper from a kayak. I'm guessing it's the thrill. Personally, I would not want to be in one. What are they cost? It's been a vary according to how fancy you want but you can get out as cheap as three or $400 to one that has every luxury like a mirage drive where you don't even have to paddle, you can use these little foot pedals that paddle the boat for you, they can get up between $2-$3000. The other thing is is that you don't have to have a big vehicle to tow. You can drag one of those around with a Subaru. Throw a kayak or two on top and you and your buddies are all set to go fishing out in the salt or wherever.
