Many of us outdoorsman hunt multiple neighboring states, that's why it is always good to know your regulations and new updates. This is Sportsman spotlight and today we have guest Madonna Luers, Public Information Officer to go over some new hunting regulations.

Luers." Citizens came to our commission and said we want you to take a look at this because there is some abuses of that. Where there is Massive baiting of deer and elk going on. Washington is one of the few western states life and I think Oregon might be in this camp too, that still allows baiting of deer and elk for the purpose of hunting. Baiting of other animals is prohibited in different way like you can't bait waterfowl that is a federal rule, cant bait bears, that was passed by initiative years ago. Deer and elk we have allowed baiting and the commission has been looking at this for a while. They passed a limit to that where you can only put out so much bait."
