This is Tom Allen with the Market Line Report for Thursday Oct 20th. Cattle prices are having a hard time moving due to volatility. Let's go to Virginia McGathey, from the floor of the CME to hear more on the livestock market.Chicago May Wheat prices closed yesterday up 1 1/4, at 454 1/2. May corn ended the day up 3 3/4, at 374 1/2.
Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for Feb. ended the day up 5.75-0.75, ranging from 4.9575-5.0075 . Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for Feb. were up 3.75, ranging from 5.1750-5.3250 . DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Feb. were up up 1.75, ranging from 6.3400-6.5200 . Feb.
Live Cattle were dn $2.17 ½, at 98.45. Jan. Feeder cattle were dn $2.92 ½, at 110. 80. Dec. class III milk was dn .21 cents at 15-28.
