#FarmersThankDominos on June 2nd

Many in animal agriculture have watched company after company bow to the wishes and demands of animal activist groups. At last month's Animal Agriculture Alliance's Stakeholders Summit, Domino's Pizza's Tim McIntyre spoke about his company's refusal to give in to the demands of activist groups and company's decision to support farmers and ranchers as experts in animal welfare.

Because of the company's commitment to farmers and ranchers, today farmers and ranchers are encouraged to thank Dominos for their support. With more on this effort, is Animal Agriculture Alliance's Vice President of Communications Hannah Thompson-Weeman

Thompson-Weeman: "And we just want to show our appreciation to the Domino's Brand for that step they have taken and that very clear stance of supporting farmers and ranchers and supporting science-based standards for things like animal welfare. So on June 2nd we are having Farmers Thank Domino's Day. We're encouraging farmers, and ranchers, and ag businesses and ag organizations to order Domino's for lunch or dinner and share a photo on social media using the #FarmersThankDominos and even tagging Domino's on the social media channel. We've also made some thank you notes that you can find on the Animal Ag Alliance website in our resource library that you can print out and give to your local delivery driver. It is so important for all of us in the food industry to stand together and work well with one another. We want to thank Domino's so much and express our appreciation to them for viewing farmers and ranchers as valued partners in the process of producing food and getting it to the end consumer."
