Cash Cattle Rally Into Weekend

This is Matt Rice with the Ag Information Network and today’s Market Line Report for Monday. Feeder Cattle continue to rally, as Cash Cattle lead the way. Let’s go to Ted Seifried with the CME Group to hear more.

Chicago Soft Red Winter Wheat prices for March closed the day Dn 10 ¼, to finish at 5-69. May Corn was DN 5, to finish the day at 4-13 ½. Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat prices for May were Dn 6, to settle at 5-65 ½.

Portland prices for Club Wheat with 10 ½ % Protein was Dn 15 - Unch, ranging from 6-35 to 6-95. Soft white wheat with 10 ½ % Protein prices for April were Dn 5 to Unch, ranging 6-15 to 6-65. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11 ½ percent Protein prices for April were Dn 01, ranging from 6-30 ½ to 6-40 ½. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for April were Up 1 ¼ & Dn 3 ¾, ranging from 7-31 ¾ to 7-41 ¾.

Live Cattle for April were Up $1.35, closing at 187.90. April Feeder Cattle were Up $3.27 ½, to finish the day at 259.97 ½. March Class III milk was Up $.18, to settle at 17.31.
