Consumers often make their buying decisions on what they can see in a package or clamshell, which is why the founders of Zordi have designed their business to focus on quality. Casey Call says they’ve been able to exceed customer expectations and cut labor costs because of their autonomous greenhouse robots.

Call... "When you buy from us, it's a single-layer package, right? So it's a, you see every single berry, you can pick it up, you can look at all the different sides, and all of 'em look the same, and you're gonna be able to eat every single one of those. And that, honestly, I think you have that type of packaging right next to a box of Driscolls. And for a consumer making a decision depends, you know, depends on what you want. If you're gonna do something else with your strawberries, or bake with 'em, or whatever you're doing. But if you're gonna just wanna snack on those things, and you look at those two packages, one is more appealing and we saw a lot of velocity from just that. I think just that basic offset of how the product is presented and then obviously, you know, our flavor, our sugar, and our acidity. That's the wholesale change is, when you eat that, it's a different experience than eating a traditional berry because there's two or three times as much sugar."
