02/10/06 Young Farmer and Rancher, Robertson

Ryan and Mindy Robertson and their three young children call Hidden Valley their home. And hidden it is in Lincoln County 13 miles west of Dietrich and 29 miles from Paul. RYAN "In about '72 they came out here and started disking sagebrush under and started drilling wells and then my father started farming in about '77 out here, '76. We've been out here ever since. It's a third generation farm. We have mostly hay and sugarbeets and grain. We farm about 13 hundred acres of beets, about 700 acres of hay and usually around a thousand to 15 hundred acres of grain. It's me and my dad and my brother, we all farm together." Now as District Three chairman the Robertsons are meeting with other Farm Bureau members. RYAN "Versus just the people in our county. It'll be exciting to meet them and get to know them better and how their operations work and be able to work with them to help make their operations better and mine too at the same time." Young Farmers and Ranchers, Ryan and Mindy Robertson, the new District Three chairmen. Voice of Idaho Agriculture Bill Scott
